PRIVACY POLICY
IMPORTANT NOTE
This Privacy Policy is designed for an event-services marketplace that may collect account, identity, contact, event, provider, booking, payment, communication, location, media and technical information. The may be time to time changes aligned with the change in data flows, vendors, hosting locations, payment gateway, analytics tools, retention periods and applicable law of the land.
The Policy should be read together with the MMEE Terms & Conditions. Where a statutory requirement imposes a higher standard than this Policy, the statutory requirement will prevail.
1. Scope and Applicability
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Make My Event Easy (“MMEE”, “we”, “us” or “our”) may collect, receive, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information in connection with the MMEE website, application, marketplace, customer support channels and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Policy applies to Customers, Providers, visitors, registered users and other persons whose personal information is processed by MMEE in connection with the Platform.
This Policy does not override rights or obligations imposed by applicable law.
2. Our Role and Applicable Law
MMEE will process personal information in accordance with applicable Indian privacy and data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules, notifications and regulations applicable to MMEE from time to time, together with other applicable laws.
The exact legal role and obligations of MMEE will depend on the particular processing activity and the final business structure.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on how the Platform is used, MMEE may collect:
- Identity and account information — name, username, profile information, photograph, account credentials and verification information.
- Contact information — mobile number, email address, postal/address information and communication preferences.
- Event information — Event type, dates, venue/location, guest numbers, requirements, budgets, service preferences and related planning information.
- Provider information — business/agency name, contact details, service categories, descriptions, photographs, pricing, service locations, bank/settlement details, tax details, licences, verification documents and other onboarding information.
- Booking information — services selected, Providers contacted, quotations, Booking status, payment schedule, cancellations, refunds, reviews and support records.
- Payment information — transaction references, payment status and limited payment-related information received from payment partners. MMEE should not store full card numbers, CVV or banking credentials unless expressly required, lawfully permitted and appropriately secured.
- Communications — messages, enquiries, support requests, feedback and other communications submitted through or to MMEE.
- Media and documents — photographs, videos, testimonials, documents and other material voluntarily uploaded to the Platform.
- Location information — approximate or precise location where a feature requires it and the User provides the required permission or where otherwise permitted by law.
- Technical information — IP address, browser/device information, operating system, approximate location derived from technical data, access logs, identifiers, pages visited, referring URLs and security information.
- Cookies and similar technologies — information collected through cookies, local storage, pixels or similar technologies, subject to applicable law and the User’s choices.
4. Sources of Information
MMEE may obtain information directly from Users, Providers, authorized representatives, payment gateways, communication providers, verification services, analytics/technology providers and other third parties where lawfully permitted.
Information may also be generated through a User’s interaction with the Platform, such as booking records, technical logs and security events.
5. How We Use Personal Information
MMEE may process personal information for purposes including:
- creating and managing accounts;
- providing the marketplace and event-planning functionality;
- connecting Customers with Providers;
- processing and managing Bookings;
- facilitating payments, refunds and reconciliation;
- verifying identities, Providers and submitted information;
- communicating Booking, account, security and service updates;
- providing customer support and resolving disputes;
- preventing fraud, abuse, unauthorized access and other security incidents;
- improving Platform functionality, usability and reliability;
- analyzing usage and performance, subject to applicable law;
- sending marketing or promotional communications where legally permitted and, where required, based on consent or another lawful basis;
- complying with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory and law-enforcement obligations;
- establishing, exercising or defending legal claims; and
- performing other purposes that are disclosed to the User at or before collection or otherwise permitted by the law.
6. Legal Basis / Consent
Where applicable law requires consent, MMEE will seek consent through an appropriate mechanism and will maintain records reasonably necessary to demonstrate consent.
Where processing is permitted or required without consent under applicable law, MMEE may rely on the relevant statutory basis.
7. Withdrawal of Consent
Where processing is based on consent and applicable law provides a right to withdraw that consent, Users may withdraw it through the mechanism made available by MMEE or by contacting MMEE.
8. Sharing and Disclosure
MMEE may share personal information with:
- Providers, where necessary to facilitate a Customer’s enquiry or Booking;
- Customers, where necessary for a Provider to fulfil a confirmed or requested service;
- payment gateways, banks and financial service providers;
- cloud hosting, storage, database, communications, analytics, customer-support and technology vendors;
- identity/verification and fraud-prevention providers;
- professional advisers, auditors and insurers;
- regulators, courts, law-enforcement agencies or government authorities where legally required or permitted;
- successor entities or transaction counterparties in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing or sale of assets; and
- other parties where the User has been informed and has provided the required permission or where disclosure is otherwise lawful.
MMEE should not sell personal information in a manner prohibited by applicable law. Any commercial data-sharing arrangement should undergo legal review before implementation.
9. Customer–Provider Data Sharing
Because MMEE operates a marketplace, certain information must be shared between Customers and Providers to enable event services.
For example, a Provider may need the Customer’s name, contact information, Event date, venue, service requirements and other necessary details to quote or perform a Booking. Likewise, a Provider’s business and contact information may be disclosed to a Customer.
MMEE should limit such disclosure to information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and should maintain appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.
10. Payment Information
Payments may be processed by third-party payment gateways. MMEE may receive transaction identifiers, status, amount, currency, refund information and other necessary payment metadata.
Payment card credentials and banking authentication information should be handled by the authorized payment provider rather than stored by MMEE unless the final architecture expressly requires otherwise and has been legally and technically approved.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
MMEE may use essential cookies and similar technologies required for authentication, security, session management and Platform functionality.
Subject to applicable law, MMEE may also use analytics, preference and marketing technologies. Where consent is required, appropriate consent controls should be provided.
12. Location Information
Certain MMEE features may use location information to help Users find Providers, cities, venues or services.
13. Photos, Videos, Testimonials and User Content
Users and Providers may voluntarily upload photographs, videos, testimonials, reviews and other Content.
14. Communications and Chat
Where MMEE provides chat, messaging, email, SMS or similar functionality, communications may be processed and retained for service delivery, customer support, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution and legal compliance.
15. Marketing Communications
Where legally permitted and where required based on consent, MMEE may send information about services, offers, events, Provider opportunities or Platform updates.
16. Data Retention
MMEE will retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, for contractual or operational needs, for security, dispute resolution, accounting/tax requirements, legal claims, statutory obligations or other lawful purposes.
17. Security Measures
MMEE will implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature and risk of the personal information processed.
18. Personal Data Breach / Security Incident
If MMEE becomes aware of a personal-data breach or security incident, it will assess and respond in accordance with applicable law, contractual obligations and its incident-response procedures, including making notifications to affected persons and/or authorities where required.
19. International / Cross-Border Processing
MMEE may use cloud, payment, communications, analytics or other technology providers that process information outside India or involve international infrastructure.
20. Children and Minors
The Platform is not intended to knowingly solicit unnecessary personal information from children.
21. User Rights and Requests
Subject to applicable law, Users may have rights concerning their personal information, which may include access to information about processing, correction/update, withdrawal of consent where applicable, grievance redressal, deletion/erasure where legally available, and nomination or other rights introduced by law.
22. Account Deletion
Users may request closure or deletion of an account through the available Platform mechanism or by contacting MMEE.
23. Data Accuracy
Users should keep their personal and account information accurate and current. MMEE may rely on information supplied by Users and is not responsible for consequences arising from inaccurate information supplied by a User, subject to applicable law.
24. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links or integrations to third-party websites, applications and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
25. Service Providers / Data Processors
MMEE may appoint third-party technology and service providers to process information on its behalf.
26. Corporate Transactions
If MMEE is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction where lawful and subject to applicable protections and notices.
27. Legal and Regulatory Disclosures
MMEE may disclose information where it reasonably believes disclosure is necessary to comply with law, court order, regulatory direction, legal process, fraud investigation, security requirement or protection of the rights and safety of MMEE, Users or others.
28. Grievance Redressal
MMEE will publish the appropriate privacy/data-protection or grievance contact details where required by applicable law.
29. Changes to this Privacy Policy
MMEE may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, business practices, Platform features or processing activities.

31. Effective Date
This Privacy Policy is effective from 12 August 2026 and applies to processing carried out from that date, subject to applicable law and any separate notice provided at the point of collection.
